Ok,,,Dallas has now won 5 in a row,,,and yes I know those wins were against the 5 worst teams in the NBA!!! But they won the games they were supposed to win, and won them convincingly both straight up and against the spread, all by double digits! I also know that the Mavericks are 0-5 against playoff teams since acquiring Jason Kidd, but 4 of those 5 losses were on the road. Dallas plays very well at home where they boast a solid 29-4 record. Dallas has also shot 53% from the field in their last 5 games while holding their opponents to a steady 39.9% from the field. Gasol played just under 3 minutes for the Lakers in a 108-98 loss at New Orleans on Friday. With him out of the lineup teams will be paying more attention to Bryant, and it showed as the Rockets and Hornets both held the Lakers to Under 41% shooting from the field. The Lakers have lost 4 straight at Dallas, and with Gasol most likely not playing tonight, are in danger of making it 5 in a row.

The Cajuns top scorer is guard Elijah Millsap with 10 Points Per Game. For the Cajuns to have a chance tonight, someone must step up, and the most likely candidate will be Millsap. Rest assured that North Texas is very aware of this and has the perimeter players to limit his production tonight. Now the Detroit players are not a bunch of happy campers and get to take their revenge from last nights humiliating loss out on a Milwaukee team that has been off for seven straight days. We have several key factors going for us and Detroit tonight. Even with last nights loss, Detroit has allowed opponents to score only 88 points a game and shoot only 41% from the field in its last 5 outings. Milwaukee has allowed opposing teams to score 102 points a game and hit on 48% of their shots in their last 5 games. What makes this game more favorable for Detroit is the fact that they have won the last three games by scores of 114-69, 117-91, and 121-95. I am not afraid to lay the 6 1/2 points in this situation. Detroit obviously has Milwaukee's number,,,and they will punch this ticket tonight!!!

Kobe Bryant has a partially dislocated pinky finger that limited his production on Tuesday, but his supporting cast filled in and picked up the slack. Bryant is expected to play tonight as the Lakers look for their 4th win in a row on this extended road trip. The Lakers continued their strong defensive run, allowing the Nets to hit only 41% of their shots from the field. They should have another strong defensive outing against this Atlanta team that has scored more than 100 only once in its last 6 outings. Offensively the Lakers should top the 100 mark again, thanks to an Atlanta defense that has given up 50% of more from the field in 3 of its last 5 games. The Lakers have scored 100 or more points in 4 of their last 5 games and get it done again tonight. Don't worry about the Lakers being leg weary from playing last night, as they are 6-3 on the season in back to back games.

New Orleans had won 9 straight until a couple of losses to Sacramento and Golden State. The big differential that I see in this matchup is that New Orleans has not been aggressive on the defensive side of the ball, going back eight games to a win in Charlotte. In this stretch they have forced 12 or less turnovers in all but one game. Utah on the other hand has forced 19 or more turnovers in 3 of their last four outings, and we will see much the same tonight. Boozer and company find a way to keep winning at home.
