Chicago's John Danks has been very consistent this season. He gave up 7 earned runs in two innings of work against Minnesota to start the season. Since then he has held opponents to 2 or less earned runs in all but one of his starts, and in that game he gave up 3 earned runs to the Giants. Now he gets a shot at a Kansas City team that has lost 8 of 10 and is hitting .204 and scoring 2.37 runs a game against lefties over their last 5. Danks will be opposed by Kansas City's Luke Hochevar. Hochevar has given up 4 or more runs in 4 of his last 5 outings. As a result of his struggles on the mound, the Royals have lost his last 3 starts, and 4 of his last 5. Chicago exploded for 9 runs in Tuesdays opener against the Royals, and should have another solid day at the plate against Hochevar.
