Paul Gasol performed as expected in his debut for the Lakers on Tuesday night. He will need another fine performance on Wednesday night against Atlanta. Kobe Bryant has a partially dislocated pinky finger that limited his production on Tuesday, but his supporting cast filled in and picked up the slack. Bryant is expected to play tonight as the Lakers look for their 4th win in a row on this extended road trip. The Lakers continued their strong defensive run, allowing the Nets to hit only 41% of their shots from the field. They should have another strong defensive outing against this Atlanta team that has scored more than 100 only once in its last 6 outings. Offensively the Lakers should top the 100 mark again, thanks to an Atlanta defense that has given up 50% of more from the field in 3 of its last 5 games. The Lakers have scored 100 or more points in 4 of their last 5 games and get it done again tonight. Don't worry about the Lakers being leg weary from playing last night, as they are 6-3 on the season in back to back games.

Carlos Boozer who is averaging 22 points a game will lead this Utah Offense against the New Orleans Hornets on Monday Night. On the line is a 10 game home winning streak for Utah. Utah has also covered 7 of 8 against the spread, and have beat New Orleans straight up the last 3 times these teams have met. New Orleans had won 9 straight until a couple of losses to Sacramento and Golden State. The big differential that I see in this matchup is that New Orleans has not been aggressive on the defensive side of the ball, going back eight games to a win in Charlotte. In this stretch they have forced 12 or less turnovers in all but one game. Utah on the other hand has forced 19 or more turnovers in 3 of their last four outings, and we will see much the same tonight. Boozer and company find a way to keep winning at home.
